Sul palco dello Steples Center di Los Angeles, la scorsa notte si è svolta la 56esima edizione dei Grammy Awards, gli oscar della musica. A trionfare su tutti, il duo dance francese dei Daft Punk che si è portato a casa la bellezza di 5 premi fra cui il prestigioso Album of the Year per Random Access Memories.
Altra vincitrice della serata, l’esordiente Lorde, giovanissima artista neozelandese che con la sua Royal è riuscita a battere artisti del calibro di Katy Perry, che è rimasta a sorpresa a mani vuote nonostante le 2 nominations.
La serata è stata senz’altro piena di emozioni. Fra le tante esibizioni ci sono stati Beyonce col marito Jay-Z, ma anche Lorde, Katy Perry, i Metallica e i Daft Punk con Steve Wonder.
Da segnalare, l’incredibile performance di Sir Paul McCartney accompagnato per l’occasione da Ringo Starr, in Queeny Eye. Altro toccante momento dello show, l’omaggio a un altro mito della musica che ci ha purtroppo lasciati solo pochi mesi fa, Lou Reed, ricordato dalle parole commosse di Jared Leto.
